Cinquain Poems

We are learning to write cinquain poems. We are using lots of adjectives to describe objects.

Children
Laughing, giggling
Playing, climbing, jumping
Fun, kind, caring, sharing
Kids.

Samuel brought a frog to school. His Grandad caught it for him.

Frog
Slimy, tiny,
Jumping, croaking, leaping,
Catching flies for dinner,
Amphibean.

Sam knew that a frog was an amphibean and could explain why to the class as well!

  1. I can see you are thinking hard for different words to use in your cinquain poems. That takes lots of concentration. Diane told me Samuel's frog jumped around the room. Perhaps it wanted to join the class! Angela (Sam's Mum)
